Roldos Goes Down To The River

Due to the nature of our ministry here we are invited to many special events in the life of the Church. From marriage celebrations, Church Anniversaries, Children’s programs and baptisms we are honored to walk along side our Ecuadorian brothers and sisters.

Recently we had the privilege of participating in the baptism celebration of the Roldos Church. The Roldos neighborhood is perched high on a hill in the northern part of Quito. The neighborhood is densely populated and there is no river flowing through it. So, the Church took a day and visited a river near Nanegalito in the jungle.

Our National President (of the Iglesia de Dios Reformada), Pastor Patricio officiated the baptisms.

Baptism celebrations are very festive in Ecuador. They usually last all day and include food, fun and fellowship. Often the congregation will swim after the baptisms.
