Good Friday Reflections

“How Deep The Father’s Love For Us”

How deep the Father’s love for us,
How vast beyond all measure
That He should give His only Son
To make a wretch His treasure

How great the pain of searing loss,
The Father turns His face away
As wounds which mar the chosen One,
Bring many sons to glory

Behold the Man upon a cross,
My sin upon His shoulders
Ashamed I hear my mocking voice,
Call out among the scoffers

It was my sin that held Him there
Until it was accomplished
His dying breath has brought me life
I know that it is finished

I will not boast in anything
No gifts, no power, no wisdom
But I will boast in Jesus Christ
His death and resurrection

Why should I gain from His reward?
I cannot give an answer
But this I know with all my heart
His wounds have paid my ransom

How To Partner With Us

We are currently in the process of forming a Living Link partnership network.  Of primary importance, Living Link partners are prayer partners.  We need partners who will regularly pray for us and for the believers in Ecuador, as we work together to reach children and to train leaders.  Also, Living Link partners help us accomplish our task by assisting financially.  We have both an annual budget to supply and an initial start-up budget to fund for one-time expenses.  This is an opportunity to see the beauty of the family of God working in unity as He calls some to go, others to pray, and others to finance.  We plan to depart in August of 2015, pending the completion of our support network.

We ask that you prayerfully consider joining us.  We welcome the opportunity to share more with you.  For more information, to partner with us, or to schedule a visit to your church or organization, please contact us through Debbie Taylor at 800-848-2464, ext 2129 or email DTaylor@chog.org.

Fire

God, I pray Thee, light these idle sticks of my life and may I burn for Thee. Consume my life, my God, for it is Thine. I seek not a long life, but a full one, like You, Lord Jesus.
-Jim Elliot

All of the little flames which make up the church find life in the Divine fire. May We burn brightly, and with others so that the light of Christ may be seen.
