Light On Our Path

We have not posted in some time, our apologies for not making time to tell our story.  We appreciate the many calls, emails and messages we have received over to last couple months.

We have been getting settled in Ecuador and learning to stand on our own without our friends and mentors, the Lamberts.  (They left Ecuador to follow Christ in a medical mission called Caring Partners).  The time we were able to spend with Jon and Karen Lambert was a blessing and we pray daily for their new adventure.

We are now more or less familiar with the rules of the road here in Ecuador.  Please pray as we now need to take our driver’s license test.  A test given completely in Spanish and more technical than the Ohio driver’s test.  (For example, we have to know the specialized vocabulary and have a working knowledge of many of the car’s various mechanical systems).

Here is a bit of perspective recorded for a Missions Sunday at a Church in Ohio.  (If your church would like us to record something for you, let us know what you would like and we will do our best!)

All in all our path is lit and our future is bright!

Thank you for your love and support!  We are now beginning to focus more on the various ministries that we are honored to be involved in and less on the mundane but nessasary tasks of settling in.  We are blessed to be the hands and feet of your extended ministry here in Ecuador!

Amor y Abrazos,

The Downing Family
