Serving God in Ecuador
Hello we are the Downings
I am Timothy, I was raised in the Breiel Boulevard Church of God in Middletown, Ohio. A passion for missions was planted in my heart by my parents Darlene and Cordell and my grandmother Ruth. I received my call to ministry on a short-term mission trip in Panama. To prepare for that calling, I attended Mid-America Christian University.
I am Angelita, I was born in Wisconsin to Manuel and Tomasa Garcia. I worshiped and served in my local congregation from a young age. I attended Mid-America Christian University where Timothy and I met.
After getting married, we served Christ in pastoral ministry in Oklahoma, New Mexico, and Ohio. We have five children: Timothy, Esperanza, Ezequiel, Elias, and Adelena.
Our family prayer is: “Allow us to see Christ clearly so we may follow him closely.” It is that heart cry that that has led us to missionary service in Ecuador.
