Hi, I’m Adelina! I’m eight years old, and I was born right here in Ecuador where my family lives. My parents are missionaries, which means we get to tell people all about Jesus and help them know Him better. Our family’s website is ourmissionpath.com, where we share our stories.
Christmas is my favorite time because it’s when baby Jesus was born! In Ecuador, we make pretty nativity scenes with Mary, Joseph, and the little baby in a manger. It reminds me of the Bible story in Luke 2:7, where it says, “And she brought forth her firstborn son, and wrapped him in swaddling clothes, and laid him in a manger; because there was no room for them in the inn.” Isn’t that amazing? Jesus came as a tiny baby to save the whole world, even kids like me in Ecuador!
Sometimes, when we’re out helping people in the villages, I think about how Jesus loves everyone, no matter where they live or what language they speak. He brings joy and hope, just like the bright stars and colorful lights we see at Christmas here.
Dear God, thank You for sending Jesus to be our Savior. Help me to share Your love with my friends this Christmas. Amen.

Hola, soy Adelina. Tengo ocho años y nací aquí en Ecuador, donde vive mi familia. Mis padres son misioneros, lo que significa que podemos contarle a la gente todo sobre Jesús y ayudarles a conocerle mejor. El sitio web de nuestra familia es ourmissionpath.com, donde compartimos nuestras historias.
La Navidad es mi época favorita porque es cuando nació el Niño Jesús. En Ecuador, hacemos bonitos pesebres con María, José y el niño en un pesebre. Me recuerda la historia bíblica de Lucas 2:7, donde dice: “Y dio a luz a su hijo primogénito, lo envolvió en pañales y lo acostó en un pesebre, porque no había lugar para ellos en la posada”. ¿No es asombroso? Jesús vino como un pequeño bebé para salvar al mundo entero, ¡incluso a niños como yo en Ecuador!
A veces, cuando ayudamos a la gente en las aldeas, pienso en cómo Jesús ama a todo el mundo, sin importar dónde vivan o qué idioma hablen. Él trae alegría y esperanza, al igual que las estrellas brillantes y las luces de colores que vemos en Navidad aquí.
Querido Dios, gracias por enviar a Jesús para ser nuestro Salvador. Ayúdame a compartir Tu amor con mis amigos esta Navidad. Amén.
