Dear Friends and Partners in the Gospel,

As we reflect on the blessings of January, we’re reminded of Paul’s words in Philippians 4:4: “Rejoice in the Lord always. I will say it again: Rejoice!” Even amidst unexpected hurdles, God’s faithfulness has shone through, turning potential setbacks into testimonies of His provision and grace. Here’s a glimpse into how the Lord has been at work in our lives and ministry this month.

1. Celebrating New Beginnings in Family (Proverbs 18:22 – “He who finds a wife finds what is good and receives favor from the Lord”)

We kicked off the year in the U.S., rejoicing at our son Timothy Jr.‘s wedding to his beloved Dani on January 4th. It was a beautiful celebration filled with joy, laughter, and the presence of loved ones, reminding us of God’s design for marriage as a reflection of Christ’s love for the Church (Ephesians 5:25).

We’re immensely proud of them and excited to see how God will bless their union, guiding them as they step into this new chapter and begin building their family.

Though we couldn’t visit as many ministry partners as we’d hoped, our time was overflowing with family and friends. Our table was full, and our hearts even more so – a sweet reminder of Psalm 23:5, where God prepares a table before us in the presence of our loved ones.

2. Returning Home and Gathering with Leaders (Acts 20:28 – “Keep watch over yourselves and all the flock of which the Holy Spirit has made you overseers”)

We returned to Ecuador on January 8th, just in time for the national gathering of church leaders on the 10th. What an uplifting time of fellowship and vision-casting! The passion and unity we witnessed point to a brilliant future for the Church in Ecuador, echoing Jesus’ prayer in John 17:21 for believers to be one, so the world may believe.

3. Mission to Peru: Overcoming Spiritual Battles (Ephesians 6:12 – “For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world”)

Shortly after, Timothy, our son Ezekiel, Pastor Jorge, and Pastor Rodrigo embarked on a trip to Peru to teach, preach, and encourage at a conference in Cajamarca. From the start, it felt like a direct encounter with the spiritual forces Paul describes – our plane tickets fell through at the last minute, forcing us to drive to the border.

At the border, Ezekiel (as a minor) was denied entry without both parents or a permission document, despite our U.S. passports. Yet, God turned this trial into triumph: The taxi driver graciously returned to help, and Ezekiel bravely navigated an overnight stay in southern Ecuador and a return flight home – all on his own! We’re so proud of his maturity, and we’re grateful for faithful friends who stepped in along the way (Proverbs 17:17 – “A friend loves at all times”).

The unexpected costs were a challenge, but God’s people responded generously when we shared the need – including a brother in Ohio who covered the initial travel expenses for the team. As in 2 Corinthians 9:8, God provided abundantly, leaving us in good financial shape.

Rushing to catch our connecting bus, we arrived late but made it by God’s grace, settling in near Reque, Peru, for the night.

4. Fruitful Connections and Kingdom Partnerships (1 Corinthians 3:6 – “I planted the seed, Apollos watered it, but God has been making it grow”)

The trip quickly shifted from trials to blessings. We had an inspiring conversation with missionary Ken Byron, who’s pioneering a school near Reque. It led to an invitation to expand our seminary program and partner in developing classes at his school and church – a clear open door from the Lord (Revelation 3:8).

We were blessed by his hospitality and overnight lodging, then traveled to Cajamarca to stay with missionary Nacio Zamora. There, we taught and preached at his conference, reuniting with Isai and Petra Calderon from Guatemala. Isai, the national leader of the Church of God there, shared his heart for missions, and we forged plans for future collaborations.

One exciting outcome: A return trip to Peru for a construction work camp, uniting churches from Guatemala, Ecuador, and Peru. What a powerful picture of the Body of Christ working together (1 Corinthians 12:27)!

5. Encouragement at the Conference (Hebrews 10:24-25 – “Let us consider how we may spur one another on toward love and good deeds, not giving up meeting together”)

The conference was a vital time of fellowship, learning, and mutual encouragement for all involved. Timothy shared from his book Return to the Roots, a biblical call to embrace the rhythms, understandings, and patterns of the early Church in Acts – urging us back to the simplicity and power of Acts 2:42-47.

Pastors Jorge and Rodrigo preached with fervor, igniting a fresh passion for missions in their hearts. They returned to Ecuador expectant for more Kingdom adventures, embodying the Great Commission in Matthew 28:19-20.

6. Progress on the Farm (Psalm 127:1 – “Unless the Lord builds the house, the builders labor in vain”)

Back home, the farm ministry is thriving. Our new property now has two building sites cleared and ready for construction – steps forward in creating a space for training and hospitality that glorifies God.

7. Upcoming Teaching and Reflection (Matthew 28:20 – “Teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you”)

Later this month, Timothy will resume his regular seminary class here in Ecuador. We’ll pause our study of John to explore the mission of Jesus Christ, drawing fresh insights from our recent Peru trip – a timely way to equip students for God’s global work (Luke 4:18-19).

Prayer Requests: Joining in Partnership (Philippians 4:6 – “Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God”)

Please continue praying for us as God uses us in His mission field. Ask that He develops the people around us through hands-on experiences and opportunities, molding them into effective disciples (2 Timothy 2:2).

Pray for the farm project to progress smoothly and be fully funded, becoming a hub for mission training.

Intercede that we begin hosting groups from U.S. churches, spreading the passion for missions and igniting hearts for the harvest (Matthew 9:37-38).

Thank you for your unwavering support and prayers – you are vital co-laborers in this work (1 Corinthians 3:9). May the Lord bless you richly as we press on together!

Noticias del Ministerio: Enero 2026 – “Porque nuestra lucha no es contra sangre y carne” (Efesios 6:12)

Queridos amigos y colaboradores en el Evangelio

Al reflexionar sobre las bendiciones de enero, recordamos las palabras de Pablo en Filipenses 4:4: “Alegraos siempre en el Señor”. Lo repetiré una vez más: Alégrense”. Incluso en medio de obstáculos inesperados, la fidelidad de Dios ha brillado, convirtiendo posibles contratiempos en testimonios de Su provisión y gracia. He aquí un vistazo de cómo el Señor ha estado obrando en nuestras vidas y ministerio este mes.

Celebrando Nuevos Comienzos en Familia (Proverbios 18:22 – “El que halla esposa halla lo bueno y recibe el favor del Señor”)

Comenzamos el año en los EE.UU., regocijándonos en la boda de nuestro hijo Timothy Jr. con su amada Dani el 4 de enero. Fue una hermosa celebración llena de alegría, risas y la presencia de seres queridos, que nos recordó el diseño de Dios para el matrimonio como un reflejo del amor de Cristo por la Iglesia (Efesios 5:25).

Estamos inmensamente orgullosos de ellos y ansiosos por ver cómo Dios bendecirá su unión, guiándoles a medida que se adentran en este nuevo capítulo y comienzan a construir su familia.

Aunque no pudimos visitar a tantos socios ministeriales como esperábamos, nuestro tiempo rebosó de familia y amigos. Nuestra mesa estaba llena, y nuestros corazones aún más – un dulce recordatorio del Salmo 23:5, donde Dios prepara una mesa ante nosotros en presencia de nuestros seres queridos.

Regreso a casa y reunión con los líderes (Hechos 20:28 – “Velad por vosotros mismos y por todo el rebaño en que el Espíritu Santo os ha puesto por obispos”)

Regresamos a Ecuador el 8 de enero, justo a tiempo para la reunión nacional de líderes de la iglesia el 10 de enero. ¡Qué tiempo tan edificante de compañerismo y visión! La pasión y la unidad que presenciamos apuntan a un futuro brillante para la Iglesia en Ecuador, haciéndose eco de la oración de Jesús en Juan 17:21 de que los creyentes sean uno, para que el mundo crea.

Misión en Perú: Vencer batallas espirituales (Efesios 6:12 – “Porque nuestra lucha no es contra sangre y carne, sino contra principados, contra potestades, contra los poderes de este mundo de tinieblas”)

Poco después, Timoteo, nuestro hijo Ezequiel, el Pastor Jorge y el Pastor Rodrigo se embarcaron en un viaje a Perú para enseñar, predicar y animar en una conferencia en Cajamarca. Desde el principio, se sintio como un encuentro directo con las fuerzas espirituales que Pablo describe – nuestros boletos de avion se cayeron en el ultimo minuto, forzandonos a manejar hasta la frontera.

En la frontera, a Ezequiel (menor de edad) se le negó la entrada sin ambos padres o un documento de permiso, a pesar de nuestros pasaportes estadounidenses. Sin embargo, Dios convirtió esta prueba en un triunfo: el taxista regresó amablemente para ayudar, y Ezequiel navegó valientemente una noche en el sur de Ecuador y un vuelo de regreso a casa – ¡todo por su cuenta! Estamos muy orgullosos de su madurez, y agradecemos a los amigos fieles que intervinieron a lo largo del camino (Proverbios 17:17 – “Un amigo ama en todo momento”).

Los costos inesperados fueron un desafío, pero el pueblo de Dios respondió generosamente cuando compartimos la necesidad – incluyendo un hermano en Ohio que cubrió los gastos iniciales de viaje para el equipo. Como en 2 Corintios 9:8, Dios proveyó abundantemente, dejándonos en buena situación financiera.

Apresurándonos para tomar nuestro autobús de conexión, llegamos tarde pero lo logramos por la gracia de Dios, estableciéndonos cerca de Reque, Perú, para pasar la noche.

Conexiones fructíferas y asociaciones del Reino (1 Corintios 3:6 – “Yo planté la semilla, Apolos la regó, pero Dios la ha estado haciendo crecer”)

El viaje pasó rápidamente de las pruebas a las bendiciones. Tuvimos una conversación inspiradora con el misionero Ken Byron, que es pionero en una escuela cerca de Reque. Nos invitó a ampliar nuestro programa de seminario y a colaborar en el desarrollo de clases en su escuela e iglesia, una puerta abierta del Señor (Apocalipsis 3:8).

Fuimos bendecidos por su hospitalidad y alojamiento, luego viajamos a Cajamarca para quedarnos con el misionero Nacio Zamora. Allí, enseñamos y predicamos en su conferencia, reuniéndonos con Isaí y Petra Calderón de Guatemala. Isaí, el líder nacional de la Iglesia de Dios allí, compartió su corazón por las misiones, y forjamos planes para futuras colaboraciones.

Un resultado emocionante: Un viaje de regreso a Perú para un campo de trabajo de construcción, uniendo iglesias de Guatemala, Ecuador y Perú. ¡Qué poderosa imagen del Cuerpo de Cristo trabajando juntos (1 Corintios 12:27)!

Ánimo en la Conferencia (Hebreos 10:24-25 – “Consideremos cómo podemos estimularnos unos a otros al amor y a las buenas obras, sin dejar de reunirnos”)

La conferencia fue un momento vital de compañerismo, aprendizaje y estímulo mutuo para todos los participantes. Timothy compartió de su libro Return to the Roots, un llamado bíblico a abrazar los ritmos, entendimientos y patrones de la Iglesia primitiva en Hechos – instándonos a volver a la simplicidad y el poder de Hechos 2:42-47.

Los pastores Jorge y Rodrigo predicaron con fervor, encendiendo en sus corazones una nueva pasión por las misiones. Regresaron a Ecuador expectantes por más aventuras del Reino, encarnando la Gran Comisión de Mateo 28:19-20.

Progreso en la Granja (Salmo 127:1 – “Si el Señor no edifica la casa, en vano trabajan los albañiles”)

De vuelta a casa, el ministerio de la granja está prosperando. Nuestra nueva propiedad ahora tiene dos sitios de construcción despejados y listos para la construcción – pasos adelante en la creación de un espacio para la formación y la hospitalidad que glorifica a Dios.

Próxima Enseñanza y Reflexión (Mateo 28:20 – “Enseñándoles a obedecer todo lo que os he mandado”)

A finales de este mes, Timoteo reanudará sus clases regulares del seminario aquí en Ecuador. Haremos una pausa en nuestro estudio de Juan para explorar la misión de Jesucristo, extrayendo nuevas ideas de nuestro reciente viaje a Perú – una manera oportuna de equipar a los estudiantes para la obra global de Dios (Lucas 4:18-19).

Peticiones de oración: Unirse en asociación (Filipenses 4:6 – “Por nada estéis afanosos, sino sean conocidas vuestras peticiones delante de Dios en toda situación, mediante oración y ruego, con acción de gracias”)

Por favor, sigan orando por nosotros mientras Dios nos usa en su campo misionero. Pida que Él desarrolle a las personas que nos rodean a través de experiencias y oportunidades prácticas, moldeándolas para que sean discípulos eficaces (2 Timoteo 2:2).

Ore para que el proyecto de la granja progrese sin problemas y sea financiado en su totalidad, convirtiéndose en un centro de entrenamiento misionero.

Interceda para que comencemos a recibir grupos de iglesias estadounidenses, difundiendo la pasión por las misiones y encendiendo corazones para la cosecha (Mateo 9:37-38).

Gracias por su apoyo incondicional y sus oraciones – ustedes son colaboradores vitales en esta obra (1 Corintios 3:9). ¡Que el Señor los bendiga ricamente mientras seguimos adelante juntos!
