As followers of Christ, we are not to be normal. We are called to care audaciously, to risk recklessly, to dream beyond our wildest machination, and to expect the impossible.
The Lord calls us to obedience in all we do, even when that obedience may take us to uncomfortable, unfamiliar, or unsafe places. We must be willing to obey regardless the cost. In doing so, we will find that there is no greater joy than knowing Jesus Christ and serving him.
The joy of serving Jesus is greater than any other jubilation offered in this fallen world. When we are obedient to God’s call, we can experience a deep and abiding joy that surpasses all understanding.
Let us be encouraged to follow the call of the missionary heart. Let us be willing to care deeply, to risk boldly, to dream big, and to expect the impossible. Let us be obedient to God’s call and experience the joy of knowing and serving Jesus. Let us be willing to go wherever He sends us, and to take up the mantle of obedience to our Great Commission calling.
