Looking Towards Perú: The Ecuadorian Brethren

As we embark on our joint mission trip to Perú, we invite you to join us on this incredible journey through the power of prayer. In the days leading up to our departure, we will share various prayer opportunities, allowing you to become an integral part of the mission path that God has placed before us. Today, we would like to introduce you to the dedicated and faithful Ecuadorian brethren who will be accompanying us on this transformative experience.

Our mission team consists of ten individuals from Ecuador, each bringing their unique gifts and passion for serving the Lord. We are blessed to have four church leaders, three pastors, and three members of the Downing family joining us on this journey. The diversity and unity within our team reflect the beauty of God’s love and the strength that comes from working together in His name.

Three of our church leaders hail from the Mt. of Olives church, while one is from the La Concordia church. The three leaders from Mt. of Olives are renowned for their exceptional evangelistic skills and leadership abilities. Their presence on this mission trip will undoubtedly inspire and guide us as we share the Gospel with those we encounter. The young lady from La Concordia possesses a natural talent for children’s ministry, and her dedication to nurturing young souls will be a tremendous asset as we engage with the children at the Roma Lee Courvisier Christian school in Perú.

Among our pastoral team, we have Pastor Carlos, who shepherds the Pissimbilla church. His wisdom and spiritual guidance will be invaluable as we navigate the challenges and opportunities that arise during our mission. Pastor Delia, a trailblazer in Ecuador, has established several churches throughout the country. Her experience and passion for church planting will undoubtedly enrich our team as we serve. Pastor Orlando, who has a two-point charge at the Santa Clara church and the Carapungo church, brings a wealth of knowledge and a heart for ministry that will strengthen our efforts in Perú.

We also have Timothy, Esperanza, and Ezekiel from the Downing family joining on this mission trip. Their presence serves as a beautiful testament to the importance of family in God’s plan and the impact that intergenerational ministry can have on communities.

As we prepare for this journey, we ask for your fervent prayers for each member of our team. This mission trip marks a significant milestone for our Ecuadorian brethren, as it is the first time they will be going out to serve as missionaries rather than receiving missionaries themselves. This transition is a powerful demonstration of God’s work in their lives and the growth of the Ecuadorian church.

Your prayers will serve as a source of strength, encouragement, and protection for our team. We believe that through your intercession, God will open doors, soften hearts, and bring about transformative encounters during our time in Perú. By lifting up each team member in prayer, you are actively participating in this mission and playing a crucial role in the advancement of God’s Kingdom.

As you pray, we invite you to remember the words of Jesus in Matthew 18:20, “For where two or three gather in my name, there am I with them.” Your prayers, combined with the prayers of countless others, create a powerful spiritual force that transcends distance and unites us in our common purpose of sharing God’s love and truth with the world.

In the coming days, we will provide you with specific prayer requests and updates on our preparations for the trip. We encourage you to set aside time each day to pray for our team, the Roma Lee Courvisier Christian school, and the people of Perú whom we will serve. Your faithful intercession will make a significant impact on the lives of those we encounter and the success of our mission.

As we embark on this journey, we do so with hearts filled with anticipation, knowing that God has called us to this mission and that He will guide our every step. We are grateful for your partnership in prayer and your willingness to join us on this mission path. Together, as the body of Christ, we can make a lasting difference in the lives of those we serve and bring glory to our Heavenly Father.

May God bless you abundantly as you commit to praying for our team and the success of our mission trip to Perú. We look forward to sharing testimonies of God’s faithfulness and the incredible work He will accomplish through our united efforts.
