Dearly beloved in Christ,
It is with great joy and reverence that I welcome you, faithful servants of the Lord, to embark on this missionary journey to the Roma Lee Courvisier School in Reque, Peru. This blessed ministry, birthed from the very heart of God, is dedicated to the noble cause of empowering precious children through the transformative power of Christian education. By imparting both knowledge and spiritual wisdom, this school serves as a beacon of hope, guiding these little ones out of the shadows of poverty and into their divine destinies as leaders in God’s eternal Kingdom.
As you prepare to labor in the fields of the Lord, may this devotional be a wellspring of encouragement and strength for your souls. Within these pages, you will find nourishment for each day as you engage in the work of light construction, Vacation Bible School, family outreach, staff encouragement, and community witnessing. Let the meditations herein be as manna from heaven, sustaining you in your service.
The overarching theme that shall guide us is the unwavering faithfulness of our God, who has called you to this mission and will undoubtedly sustain you every step of the way. As you pour out your lives for the precious community of Reque, you will bear witness to the transformative power of Christ, who alone can bring holistic healing and restoration to the souls of men.
Each devotion in this collection has been prayerfully crafted to include a portion of Scripture, upon which we shall meditate day and night (Joshua 1:8). From these sacred texts, we will draw out reflections that align with the mission of the school and your specific activities. You will find practical applications to guide your daily work, and each devotion will conclude with a heartfelt prayer for the people of Reque, that the Lord’s favor would rest upon them mightily.
As you embark on this mission path, may you be ever mindful of the challenges that come with serving in a cross-cultural, resource-scarce setting like Reque. Yet, take heart, for our God is not limited by earthly constraints. He is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine (Ephesians 3:20). Trust in His provision, lean on His strength, and let your light shine before others, that they may see your good deeds and glorify your Father in heaven (Matthew 5:16).
